Jon Batiste Inglewood Concert reviews
Solid but generational
The theatre was really, really nice. We were going to have dinner prior to the show somewhere right around the theatre and there wasn't anything there. Downtown Waukegan is pretty sad. It was a long way from where I live and is nearly in Wisconsin.
But I've seen Bill Burr and Louis CK in the last 6 months and both were funnier. He was funny...no doubt. I bought her tickets for Christmas since I knew she really enjoys his comedy. I like Jon Batiste but I went to see him more for my Mother.
He did a whole bit about the iPhone and technology that my 65 year old mother thought was hysterical that was just lost on me. The thing about Jon Batiste to me is that some of his humor seems to resonate with an older crowd.
